International symposium on exercise to promote cognitive health and functional independence

The International Symposium on Exercise to Promote Cognitive Health and Functional Independence held on May 27th, 2010 at The Gordon and Leslie Diamond Health Care Centre was a tremendous success. With over 250 plus participants in attendance and broadcasting to several videoconferencing sites across the province, people from all disciplines came to listen to Dr. Arthur Kramer, Dr. Leon Flicker and Dr. Brian Christie share their expertise advice on how to improve cognition in seniors through exercise.

This event was co-hosted by the Centre for Hip Health and Mobility and the Brain Research Centre. Funding was provided by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (PI: Teresa Liu-Ambrose).
