Post hip and upper leg fracture study

CHHM is seeking participants to take part in a research study of follow-up care after hip or upper leg fracture. In this study we will compare usual care with a new specialist outpatient service for post hip fracture care.

To be eligible for the study you must be:

  • Age 65 years and older
  • Recovering from a recent hip or upper leg fracture

Post hip and upper leg fracture study

"Well in Hand" study

We are looking for healthy adults without inflammatory arthritis to participate in a study that uses a promising new high-resolution bone imaging system to identify differences in bone structure in people with newly diagnosed rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and those without RA.

Participation in the 'Well in Hand' study involves a 2-hour initial evaluation and wearing a small physical activity monitor for one week. To be eligible for this study, you must be:

  • Aged 19 years old and older
  • Do not already have inflammatory arthritis
