Dr. Bob Sallis on his recent visit to CHHM and walking in BC
|Drs. Bob Sallis and Heather McKay|
As physical beings we need to be active. It’s what we’re born to do. Sedentary lifestyles and the absence of exercise contribute to a host of problems. On the flip side, being active makes you healthier, stronger, and has a positive impact on all sorts of pathologies, including chronic diseases, mental health challenges, etc.
Despite the overwhelming evidence of the benefits of physical activity inactivity remains pandemic.
Dr. Bob Sallis was here to spread the word on the health benefits of walking and the need for physicians everywhere to think of exercise as a medicine they should be prescribing to every patient they see.
