CHH recieves $10M in BC provincial budget
We are pleased to announce that in the recent Provincial Budget, the government awarded $10 million to the Centre for Hip Health and Musculoskeletal Research . This award will enable us to better realize our vision of developing a facility aimed at providing novel solutions for bone and joint health. The Centre will house CHH staff and investigators, clinicians and trainees from across many disciplines and from basic to applied science and clinical practice.
The CHH is aligned with the strategic goals of the Faculty of Medicine, UBC as outlined in Health Trek 2010 and with Vancouver Coastal Health and the Vancouver Coastal Health Research Institute - and we are most grateful for their ongoing support. There are many others who continue to work diligently on our behalf to advance and sustain the Centre - and we thank you for your efforts.
Finally, the CHH is aligned with the goals of the province through our focus on knowledge translation and by advancing discovery that has direct benefits for the bone and joint health of British Columbians and all Canadians. We owe a huge debt of gratitude to our provincial government for their vision and for providing us the opportunity to solve challenging health problems that affect all British Columbians.
