Congratulations Dr. Alex Scott– Winner of a Research Ambassadors Knowledge Translation Award

Dr. Alex Scott, a Core Member and tendon researcher at the Centre for Hip Health and Mobility, and Assistant Professor, Department of Physical Therapy, UBC, was recently awarded the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR)  Institute of Musculoskeletal Health and Arthritis "Research Ambassadors Knowledge Translation Award," for his summary, "Role of mast cells in tendinopathy," written for an operating grant application.

This award is given to the Principal Investigator who submitted an abstract written in superioir plain language for a CIHR-IMHA-funded grant or award. His award was reviewed by members of the general public. It was lauded for being "comprehensive and highly informative." 

This Knowledge Translation Award was created to encourage CIHR applicants to write excellent lay abstracts. Congratulations Dr. Scott!
