Dr. Rizhi Wang inducted to the International College of Fellows - Biomaterials Science and Engineering
CHHM congratulates Core Research Member Dr. Rizhi Wang for his induction to the International College of Fellows - Biomaterials Science and Engineering (ICF-BSE), by the International Union of Societies for Biomaterials Science and Engineering at the 10th World Biomaterials Congress held in Montreal on May 17-22, 2016.
Dr. Wang was elected for his research contributions to orthopaedic biomaterials, especially in surface modifications of implants. Dr. Wang also made significant contributions to aging-associated bone fracture.
"I feel honoured to be a member of ICF-BSE, and excited about the opportunity to promote biomaterials research across the nation and globally," said Dr. Wang about the achievement.
The honorary status of "Fellow, Biomaterials Science and Engineering" (FBSE) was established in April 1992 after the constituent biomaterials societies of the World Biomaterials Congress recognized the need for the public recognition of those of their members who have gained a status of excellent professional standing and high achievements in the field of biomaterials science and engineering. Dr. Wang joins 328 other fellows worldwide.
