Marie joined CHHM as an Associate Member in January 2016 after completing her post-doctoral research through the School of Public Health, U of Alberta. For her postdoc, she developed quality indicators (QIs) for rehabilitation before and after elective total hip and knee replacement surgery. She has worked at the Mary Pack Arthritis Program for 30 years and is currently the PT Teaching Supervisor. She is a VCHRI funded clinician scientist whose research focuses on the implementation and evaluation of these QIs using patient and clinician targeted strategies with the aim of improving patient outcomes and experiences in this growing patient population. She is a core member of the province-wide Physical Activity Support Kit Initiative (PASKI) and leads the MSK working group to develop an online repository of high quality physical activity resources and tools for clinicians and people living with chronic conditions in BC.
